University of Malawi Social Work Students Gain Insight at CRECCOM


Today, a group of eager first-year students from the University of Malawi's Bachelor of Science (Social Work) program, affiliated with the Department of Sociology and Population Studies, School of Humanities and Social Science, visited the Creative Centre for Community Mobilization (CRECCOM) to explore its activities. The students were particularly interested in how CRECCOM's initiatives align with social work theory and practice, as part of their course, Social Work Theory and Practice II.


During their visit, the students engaged in immersive learning experiences, aiming to deepen their understanding of the practical application of social work principles. Their interaction with CRECCOM's initiatives provided them with valuable insights into community mobilization and social work practice, enriching their academic experience and preparing them for future professional endeavors.
